Oh, and the best thing? My husband came in pajama pants, since he gets one day off a week, and the front desk clerk basically looked down her nose at him. I will never stay in this hotel, ever. Change your attitude ma'am, you have some kind of nerve looking down on someone who had plenty of money to spend. Basically, you made yourself look like a horse's behind..... Just saying. :-)
Issue with reservation through the BW website, followed by analarming call to me from hotel desk clerk (letting me know that someone else stayed under my credit card) - basically, human error. However, I asked to speak with a manager. To date, the manager has yet to contact me. I've contacted the corporate office Customer Service, whose representative "Grace" stated she would follow up and resolve the issue. To date, no call from Corporate.
Great place to stay! Extremely clean and beautiful space with really nice client services. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it highly. Right off of the freeway - easy access as long as it's not dark. Oakley is rather rural.
Long story short - quick to take fund, slow to respect the quest and stay true to their word. If you say you will contact a guest, contact them. It's good business and simple politeness.
Great staff and property. Lovely room. Impressive breakfast.
Didn't feel safe in the parking lot though. Saw some men urinating by cars. Really crazy
My husband called to inquire about a room, told there was openings, and arrived at check-in to the front desk clerk informing him that they did not accept prepaid debit cards. Wait, my husband makes well over $20 an hour and gets his paychecks (and my own paychecks as well) directly deposited on the very same debit card we shop with every day, eat out, buy gas, rent a beautiful room in Nevada for vacation, etc. and this crappy hotel doesn't accept it? Wow. I have NEVER heard of a hotel turning away money.
Beautiful rooms but 150 should = quality in the sticks of Oakley
We both have relatives in the area and will definitely be booking again as it was an overall enjoyable stay. We also met with friends in the comfortable lobby during the evening and visited with them there. Several of our friends had recommended this hotel to us as they have stayed there in the past and enjoyed their stay.
My wife and I stayed 5 nights. We had a mini suite and it was the same price as a room with a king size bed, good deal for us. The room was very comfortable, clean and the bed was also very comfortable and we slept well, which is important. The breakfast was good and offered varieties of food and drink and staff were present cleaning and restocking. Access can be somewhat difficult depending on traffic but was really not a problem once we learned how to get into the parking lot as it sets back from access roads. The back of the hotel, and our room, faced an elevated freeway which leads to the Antioch Bridge. Traffic noise was not a problem for us but may be for some, so when booking keep that in mind and book rooms at the front of the bldg. if traffic noise is an issue.
